HEADTEACHER'S MESSAGE
We've enjoyed the start of what we feel will be an enjoyable and positive term, mirroring the changes in the community and beyond. Our procedures remain exactly the same at the moment as we start to 'feel' our way forward and we will be keeping an eye on new guidance for schools as the term progresses.
The children are back following a full national curriculum this term and it gives a good opportunity to have a long period of learning through to the summer holidays. We will be formally assessing the children as late as possible this term, giving us an opportunity to use daily teacher assessment to work to analyse and build on the children's understanding of all the key concepts in their respective year groups.
Thank you to all the community for supporting Year 5 with their fund-raising efforts. As you can see below, an amazing amount was raised. We thank all the children and families for their support and we are proud of Year 5's achievement.
Our after-school clubs start next week. Once again we have been restricted in what we have been able to offer due to the 'bubble' system but we hope the children really enjoy the clubs they are attending.
Have an enjoyable weekend.
Kind regards
Matt Walton, Headteacher
